Angels Among Us

We attempt to accomplish this by not only providing financial assistance, but by also fostering a sense of community and providing needed resources/information.
what we do
In an effort to gather useful resources and information, we are constantly talking to families, doctors, and anyone with knowledge of cancer.
The first two ways we help are somewhat intertwined. We spend a great deal of time fundraising by hosting a variety of events. These events serve to raise awareness and provide a great environment for families to mingle and enjoy themselves.
At the same time, we use these events to raise money that we can then use to financially assist families in need.
Fundraising is one of the main ways that we raise money along with direct donations from corporations and individuals.
history
Angels Among Us incorporated in April 2006 and received 501c3 status in June of the same year. Currently, Angels Among Us works with the families of children being treated for cancer at hospitals in Nebraska (even if these families reside in other states).
As of June 2011, through the tireless efforts of our board and volunteers, we have already managed to distribute over $500,000 to 100 families in need. We continue to grow as an organization, and with the continued dedication of our community, there is no end in sight.
Angels Among Us is a member of both the the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands and the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
where donations go
Angels Among Us uses our resources to directly help families in need. Through our vigorous screening process, we ensure that your donations go to worthy families who truly need assistance. Additionally, Angels Among Us pays bills directly to the company the family owes so that you can be sure that your donations are used responsibly.
As always, we are seeking to reduce outside stresses on the family as much as possible so that they can focus on their child. To date, Angels Among Us has helped over 100 families paying out over $500,000. Below is a list of some types of bills that your money has gone to pay.
